I DO! DO!!! Yep that’s what I said to getting married the second time around, and is generally the answer one would be looking for to seal the deal at the ceremony. That part I remembered, but what I had forgotten about was all that went into throwing a wedding, and yes we did the whole big do again, and as with the first one Caroline was there as my sounding board and support.

One long table was the vision for our wedding celebration, we could just see it, scattered with fabulous bottles of wine, (some in magnum of course) and big platters of delicious food being passed around family style. The other part of the vision was it had to look super elegant and still be relaxed. One thing I have learned along the journey to this new life is it is no fun going alone, so getting all of our truest comrades to Napa for the event was the most important item on the to do list. I am a lover of beautiful and unique invitations. It’s a rarity in our on-line lives, but I get so excited when I get one in the mail. I wanted something unique and special not traditional and engraved (still had my first one plastered to the front of a bedroom sized trashcan…no kidding, it was a wedding gift). So I got creative with Katherine Jalaty a local Napa artist who uses an antique letterpress to create beautiful paper everything. I knew I wanted something different this go round but Katherine took it one step further and hand painted a Fortuny (the most sublime century old Italian fabric designers) pattern on the back and that became our guide to the esthetic of the wedding. Seems like a bank breaker huh? but it ended up being less than going through the bigger stationary companies, and was perfectly personalized for us at this moment in our lives.
