Nothing reminds me of Valentines day more than those sugared up heart candies stamped with “love messages” which as children we doled out to our elementary school classmates with sayings on them like “Be Mine”, “Kiss Me”, “Miss You” an innocent gesture that we secretly hoped would share our feelings of amor with our friends or secret crush! But as adults that love arrow is pointed more directly to the significant others in our life.
Now, I know some people feel like this “holiday” has been conjured up to make a quick buck. But Caro and I like to have some fun getting our heart wielding cherub on and get all excited and goosebumby about the whole thing. However, there is no need to break the bank, we have gathered some sweet gifts to help you get through the wondering of what to buy for that special one in your life that will show them that you can still be romantic, which we all need to be reminded of sometimes…and Velentine’s Day has perfect timing for just that!
I love the idea of being romantic with food. For me showing love to my male Valentine is best expressed by cooking him one of his favorite meals, opening up a delicious bottle of wine, shutting down the world and focusing on us. So Caroline and I have come up with a fun meal, that both of you will enjoy that is easy and delicious…oh and the best way to end that meal is with a naughty sensual dessert, check it out…actually your kids would love it too. So no matter who your Valentine is, just remember it is fun to be in love…je’teime!
