I don’t know how it happened, but I had made it this far along in life and had never been to Mexico. Now when you marry a native Californian that situation is going to be rectified, so my newly married self happily complied and we ended up honeymooning at Las Ventanas al Paraiso, Los Cabos…which was so perfecto! I can confidently say after having gone through the wedding planning and doing exhaustion twice that I find a beach and a regional specialty drink to be the best way to celebrate and just rejuvenate as a couple. At Las Ventanas every inch is so well thought out that while swimming in the pool you can saddle up to the aqua bar and sip your margarita while submerged in the cooling water. The food was divine! I mean who doesn’t like a taco tower with ahi tuna and filet, and fresh salads with grilled shrimp served poolside for lunch-everyday!! There were so many restaurants off property to check out and enjoy, and being the adventurous types we made the rounds, here are our top 3…Flora Farms, El Farallon, and Lorenzillo’s, I think I ate my weight in guacamole! And don’t even get me started on the tequila and ceviche bar, where a tequila master will happily help you figure out exactly what your “tequila sign” is…I’m all in for giving up and letting tequila rule my future, especially if it includes another trip to this fabulous resort!
My sister from another mister and travel agent guru Caroline Wallace @carolinetravelstheworld, booked our trip and took care of every delicious detail. So, if you want to book a trip of a lifetime or simply don’t have time in your life to book a trip-either way check her out, she knows all and has been everywhere!!
